We did get to play D&D today (even if it was partly because one of my players has Covid and was not well enough/allowed to go out and do anything else but felt like she wanted the distraction of a game). And we FINALLY made it to part 4 of Lost Mines of Phandalin, by entering the Lost Mine. They had to argue about whether taking their oxen into a mine was a good idea... ::shakes head fondly:: Much silliness, much thinking-in-character, and two players relocating their dice, papers and laptops to the floor because "the desk is unlucky".
And I am sufficiently prepped for next week that I took a nap with no guilty feelings today. And it rained gently outside and Fluffball came and snuggled and it was nice.
Had a grant and a PhD studentship rejected last week, but on the plus side that's work I didn't have time to do (there is NO capacity in the worload or sign that my workload will be adjusted if I get more work, because what little room there is goes to new colleagues, short term colleagues, and colleagues with major admin roles, so.
Lots of grading arrives this week, which isn't very bright, but there might be some howlers...
